Investing Into Our Community of Women
(all images and video provided by Jvisuals)
The founders of Reach One Seed One (R1S1) and myself were inspired by watching interviews of homeless women in New York who shared their struggles having limited access to tampons and pads. The Facebook video was a cultural shock of how most women take for granted the privledge to purchase feminine hygiene products, despite of how expensive it is. It’s a true blessing.
So we partnered together by investing into women and men who are less fortunate. We provided feminine hygiene products and daily essentials throughout the streets of Columbus, Ohio near the hilltop and south central location.
It was an honor to collaborate with R1S1 by giving women a sense of independence and confidence back. We also invested into men by giving deodorant, oral products, and emergency blankets.
Here in Columbus, Ohio the support of family, friends, and peers is a vital characteristic that separates us from many cities. It is one of many reasons I enjoy my residence here. And our event would not have been successful if it wasn’t for our investors and participators who contributed their love, support, time and energy.
